Buddha statue at the Peace Pagoda, Battersea Park, London, England, UK.

Here the Buddha is represented as calling upon the earth to witness to the truth of his words. Peace pagodas were designed to bring all faiths together in world peace and were the idea of Nichidatsu Fujii (1885-1985). This one was completed in 1985 under the direction of the Reverend Gyoro Nagase.
