This illustration of a siege of a fortress shows an attack upon an Egyptian fortress by troops carrying various arms. It was drawn by Faucher-Gudin, from a scene in the tomb of Amoni-Amenemhait (also Amoni-Amenemhet) at Beni Hasan, an ancient Egyptian burial site in what is known as Middle Egypt. It appeared in Gaston Maspero's History of Egypt, published in 1903.
