Looking down Zrinyi Utca to St Stephen's Basilica in Budapest
Dedicated to St Stephen (István), the first Hungarian King, this church was designed by József Hild in the Neo-classical style. Construction began in 1851, was taken over by Miklós Ybl in 1867 and completed by József Kauser in 1905. It received the title of Basilica in 1938, the 900th anniversary of St István's death.
