Fresh from having exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, they will be in Borough Market's Market Hall in one of the busiest parts of the market and they believe this will be the first dedicated seed store to open in central London for a generation. Seeds of Italy are pleased to announce the opening of our second outlet, a pop up store at London's oldest and most gastronomic food venue, the 1,000 year old Borough Market from the 16th to the 29th of June. Fresh from having exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we will be in Borough Market's Market Hall in one of the busiest parts of the market and we believe this will be the first dedicated seed store to open in central London for a generation. We have also hired the Market Hall, in the shadow of the Shard on the 20th of June for an exclusive ticket only ‘Pre-RHS Hampton Court Flower Show VIP Press party’ to present our 2017 'Autistic Kitchen Garden' horticultural display in the Cook and Grow Marquee - a collaboration between Franchi Seeds, Autism Plus and the Eden Project as well as promoting our Eden Project seed range and our new Windowsill Garden product to garden, lifestyle and food buyers, chefs, garden professionals and the press. The store will feature our Windowsill Garden gift range, our Eden Project range of traditional regional seed varieties inspired by their Mediterranean Biome, along with flower and vegetable varieties which the RHS recommend from their 'Perfect for Pollinators' initiative which particularly attract beneficial insects. There will also be Franchi branded seeds, organic, edible flowers, chillies and herbs with a strong regional emphasis on Slow Food standard varieties, everything from the Padron pepper from Galicia to Kelvedon peas from Essex to real Basil from Portofino to name a few. Paolo Arrigo, MD of Seeds of Italy went on record to say "Franchi are not only the oldest family run seed company in the world, but the only seed company in the UK to have attained the Slow Food standard, and be Vegetarian Society approved.
