Whip spider. Whip spiders, or tailless whip scorpions, (order Amblypygi) are arachnids that have long elongated forelimbs (upper right, lower left) resembling whips, which are used for sensing prey. Once found prey is grasped using highly modified pedipalps (jaw-like, centre).
