Replica Iron Age (pre-Viking) figure-of-eight house at head of Bosta beach: shows oat straw fastened down by netting, coir ropes & stones, raven-sticks at hipped ends. Built by Jim Crawford close to site of 1990s excavations of a group of 3, C6th-8thAD structures. Photo taken June 2004, thatch has since been replaced by turves.
