The Cenotaph, Whitehall, London. The Cenotaph is the site of the annual national service of remembrance when those who fell in the Great War and subsequent conflicts are remembered. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the Cenotaph was built from Portland Stone in 1919-1920.
