An old British carved image of Saint Radegunda, Queen, consort of Clotaire I, King of the Franks. Her name was also spelled Radegund ,Radegundis, Rhadegund, Radegonde, and Radigund (circa c. 520 – 587) was a Thuringian princess and Frankish queen, who founded the Abbey of the Holy Cross at Poitiers.
