Rally in front of St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Greenwich Village in New York to prevent its closing
Union members and supporters rally in front of St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Center in Greenwich Village in New York on Thursday, January 28, 2010. The hospital, on the verge of a second bankruptcy, is the only Level 1 trauma center south of 59th Street and was top admitting hospital for survivors of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack. The Continuum Health Partners plan would leave only a clinic, closing the down the rest of the hospital. That would leave the west side of Manhattan, south of 59th street without a hospital.
