Glasses of the Remonstrant pastor A. Geesteranus (1593-1658), Anonymous, c. 1610 - c. 1658 Squeeze glasses with silver frame and round, sharpened glasses. The glasses are set in silver rings that are open at the top and bent back so that a loop is created through which a string or iron wire can be brought through and attracted to closing the ring. The outer edge of the glasses is slipped away. The nose arch is with curls on the rings. Netherlands frame: Silver (Metal). Glasses: Glass. string: forging / grinding Netherlands
