The gorilla pair looks at the photographer while they cuddle BLACKPOOL ZOO, ENGLAND ADORABLE IMAGES show two half sibling gorillas having a cuddle. Images from November 15th show Makari (6) and his half sister Monada (11) as they share a tender embrace. Makari and Monada share different mothers but the same father in Bukavu who is Blackpool Zoos resident silverback gorilla. These images were captured by photographer Gary Cox (53) from Manchester England. Gary captured the sweet sibling moment at Blackpool Zoo on his Canon 80D camera sigma 150-600mm lens. ?The gorillas were resting against a wall in their enclosure. When I looked closer I could see they were having a cuddle,? said Gary. ?It was a lovely sight for such big and powerful animals. ?I have watched them play many times but not in such a human-like embrace. I was glad I could capture the moment. ?I?m always thankful to be able to capture such a tender moment. As much as I love taking the individual photos it is a little more special when you see tender moments between such animals. ?The shot where they have their faces together and looking directly my way is special to me. ?Capturing these moments is very special and brings it home that they are not so different from us and can also share emotions and have unique characters of their ENDS
