SUEZ CANAL (June 28, 2018) Master-At-Arms 1st Class Brett Luchini, right, and Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class John Schwab conduct surveillance from the bridge wing of the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) during the ship’s transit of the Suez Canal. Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
