Association,Dr. Nevins proceeds to remark: During the season of 1875, it wastruly gratifying to see how this * object was kept in view, appreciated,and carried out. Early in July, in the attractive structure set apart forDivine service, and standing where but a few months before were seenthe dense and dark forest, hundreds of visitors were summoned fromthe commodious hotel and handsome cottages by the clear and sweettones of the bell, ringing through the grove and along the beach, toengage in the worship of their common Creator and Redeemer. Andon every succeeding Sabbath was the same invitation given andaccepted. A pleasing spectacle it was, on such occasions, to beholdthose who, though differing in some points of faith, yet agreed in theessential elements of our holy religion, the veteran and the child, thestranger and the familiar friend, all mingling their voices and unitingtheir hearts in praise and prayer to the God and Father of our Lord W> O5«O OM o 00.
