Eric Hanks, commanding officer of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, receives a signed jersey during the "12th-Man Flag" change of command ceremony at Naval base Kitsap-Bangor in Silverdale, Washington, Sept. 7, 2022. The ceremony included a handoff of the 12th-Man Flag from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island to Marine Corps Security Force Battalion Bangor. Each year, different military units in the Pacific Northwest display and fly the flag in honor of the Seahawks' 'Salute to Service' outreach program.
