WORLD WAR 2 AIRFIELD AT TA QALI MALTA WITH NISSENHUTS
Ta' Qali was the site of the airfield in World War 2 from where fighter aircratft flew to provide an heroic defence of the island. Now a craft market, some of the Nissen huts remain which housed the airmen and their support teams. In the background can be seen the national football stadium.
