Panoramic view of the beach and Nanjizel or Mill Bay at low tide. This early autumn scene shows the, view across the turquoise bay with Atlantic surf and Carn Boel cliff. This part of the South West footpath gives excellent views of the rugged Cornish coastline near Lands End. The mighty granite cliffs are pounded by the Atlantic Ocean. This image shows the geology and grandeur of this coastline. The massive granite outcrop of Carn Les Boel also overlooks Mill Bay. Choughs (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax) have been reintroduced here and can be seen flying overhead. Scenes from the popular television series ‘Poldark’ were filmed near here.
