Foote who for the past twelveyears has been connected with theOhio Electric Railway, Cincinnati, Ohio,as master mechanic in charge of carequipment and shops, has been pro-moted to the position of superintendentof power. He has been given, in addi-tion to his former duties, the super-vision of the power houses and sub-stations on those properties of thesystem known as the Indianapolis,. F. J. KOOTE Columbus & Eastern Traction Companyand the Columbus, Newark & ZanesvilleTraction Company. This includes twolarge power houses and fourteen sub-stations. Mr. Foote is well qualified for theposition of superintendent of power,being a graduate of the University ofIllinois and a post graduate of theUniversity of Wisconsin, where hereceived the degree of electrical en-gineer in 1902. He has also had wideexperience in power station work,having held the position of electricalengineer on heavy construction workfor both the Allis-Chalmers Companyand the Westinghouse Electric &Manufacturing Company and was alsofor several years chief operatingengineer for a large manufacturingcompany. Before taking up his technical studiesMr. Foote learned the trade ofmachinist and worked in various shopsfor several years. He has found thatthe hard knocks and practical expe-rience in the shop have been of greatvalue to him ever since. Mr. Footesheadquarters are at Springf
