Shot in Alaska. Alaska, USA: THESE ADORABLE images show three young cubs standing on their hind legs looking around as they mimic their mum?s behaviour. One image shows the three cubs standing upright whilst clinging to their mother, looking for danger as they explore the world while another shows the cuties looking like they are playing pat-a-cake. The brown bear, sometimes called the grizzly bear, can grow up to nine feet long and weigh in excess of 400 pounds. Depending on their body fat, the bears can have up to three cubs, having fewer the lighter they are. The cubs weigh around a pound at birth and are born with their eyes closed. These images were taken by professional photographer Ron Niebrugge (58) at Lake Clark National Park, Alaska using an Olympus OM-1 camera. ?I was guiding a group of photographers when we came upon this brown bear sow with three little first-year cubs,? said Ron. ?At first they were playing with each other and didn?t have a care in the world. ?Then as you can see, another bear arrived in the meadow which got the group?s attention. ?They eventually headed into the safety of the forest and avoided the threat. ?The interaction between the sow (mom) and the little cubs was so precious. ?It never gets old, such a thrill. Your heart is always racing a bit after such an encounter. ?It is such a satisfying feeling to have witnessed such an amazing mediadrumimages/RonNiebrugge
