On April 16,1861, went into Boston to go with theEighth Regiment of Massachusetts, butfailing in that enlisted in Company C,Twenty-Third , October 19, 1861,and served ili Regiment Hospital andGeneral Hospital departments at New-Berne, N. C; full service, nearly fouryears. Mustered out July 18, 1865. Sincereturn home has been a very popularundertaker in Lynn, and is at present en-gaged in same business.
