All theproperty and effects of the University (as well as of Univers-ity College) are vested in the Board of Trustees in trust. TheBoard has general powers with regard to the management,control and government of the property, endowments andincome of the University and College, subject to the control ofthe Crown. In the discharge of its functions the Board makes. The Senate.—The Senate consists of three classes ofmembers: (1) Ex officio members; (2) Appointed members;and (3) Elected members. The ex officio members are theMinister of Education, the Chancellor, the President of theUniversity, the Principal of University College, the presidentor head of each federated university or college, the deans ofthe faculties of Arts, Law, Medicine, and Applied Science andEngineering, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and allpast Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors.
