Bishop Percy's House, Bridgnorth, Shropshire

Bishop Percys House, a Grade 1 listed building, was built in 1580 for a local barge owner, Richard Forester. This timber-framed house was one of the few properties on the town side of the river to survive the 1646 Civil War fire. It was later named after the Rev Thomas Percy (1729-1811), author and Bishop of Dromore in County Down who was born here.
