Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., hosts the Juanita Warman Nursing Excellence Conference each year in honor of the Madigan nurse (pictured) who, as she was preparing for a deployment for which she volunteered, was killed at the Fort Hood shooting in Texas in 2009.
