Astronauts Kathryn D. Sullivan and Bruce McCandless II, mission specialists, performing a medical experiment on board Space Shuttle Discovery during mission STS-31. Sullivan prepares a transducer to be placed on McCandless' jugular vein to collect data for non-invasive estimation of central venous pressure during spaceflight. STS-31 flew on Shuttle Discovery on 24-29 April 1990.
