Strange landscape called "Asprougoi" or "Asprougi", in Koufonisi little island, south of Crete island, Lasithi, Greece
Here, you can see a small part of Asprougoi, a strange landscape in a small island called "Koufonissi" south of Crete, close to Ierapetra town, Lasithi prefecture. From the distance it looks like a region full of striped rocks in strange shapes and formations. Once I got closer, I saw that in wasn't any rock but compressed ground. I quess that name "Asprougoi" comes from the greek words "aspri gi" that means "white land". This spectacle covers a large area of the island, creating extraordinary gorges and natural sculptures (and thousands rabbit holes, too!).
