The Great Seal op the State opMichigan, with the numerals, mdcccxxxv, the dateof the formation of the State IOWA.—The Seal of Iowa contains the following sim-ple device ; An Eagle in the attitude of flight, grasping inits dexter talon a Bow, and holding in its beak an the border of the seal are the words.
