Seal spotted 27 miles inland . . Deeping, Lincolnshire, UK . . A young seal is pictured at the bottom of a garden, 27 miles inland, on the River Welland in Deeping, Lincolnshire. When the youngster, which spent hours in the garden, raised it's front flipper it looked slightly bloody so it may have been injured. The seal has come up the River Welland fishing for food. There are major seal colonies on the East coast but it's unsure where it originated at the moment. Pic: Paul Marriott Photography
