A 4th Class Cross of the Order of St. George Decoration of the order ca. 1850 with deep red, translucent enamel on the ray-shaped guilloche base coat of the obverse medallion, the figure of the saint rendered in fine enamel work. The award shows a few scratches and usage-caused rub marks to the completely preserved white enamel, and is punched "FH" in the eyelet, probably for Friedrich Adolf Holstenius who from 1848 was a master in Zarskoje Selo and later in St. Petersburg and who taught Alexander E.
