Dusky sallow moth


The dusky sallow moth (Eremobia ochroleuca) is a member of the Noctuidae family. The flight period is usually July and August, this species occurs in dry and stony habitats and is found across central and southern Europe as well as the Middle East. In the UK this species is found mainly in the south and southeast. The larvae feed on the flowering stems of various grasses. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in July.
