The principal means through whichtuberculosis is introduced into a herdare (1) By purchasing cattle fromother herds infected with the disease;(2) By feeding calves with milk orwhey from tuberculous cows; (3) Byallowing healthy stock with or nearinfected animals; (4) By keeping cat-tle in unsanitary, poorly ventilated andunclean quarters.
