About five hundredcords, besides the stumpage, have been taken outannually, and for this work $3,000 has been paidout each year. The result has been a trans-formation in the appearance of the ranch, whichnow ranks among the improved estates of thecounty and reflects in its neat appearance thethrift and energy of the proprietors.
