FORT IRWIN, Calif. – Regimental Support Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment cadre, also known as a “Spurholder” demonstrates the next obstacle to the viewing spur candidates during the RSS Spur Ride at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif. on May 22, 2018. A Spur Ride is a time-honored tradition within the Cavalry. Those wishing to earn silver spurs are referred to as “Shave Tail’s”.
