Monistrol de Anoia is an old municipality and currently a population center of the municipality of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, in the Alt Penedès. With a population of 21 inhabitants (2018), and 139 m. above sea level, Monistrol is located to the left of the Anoia, in front of its confluence with the Mediona stream. In 1820 it was incorporated into Sant Sadurní after having constituted an independent municipality for several years.
