Kinnvika was an old Russian trapping station. Although much is now in ruins, part of the station is still mainatained as it offers safety in bad weather and has a small airstrip. Rubbish such as this old drum is not cleared away as it is regarded as "part of the environment," "part of modern history" - make of that what you will!
