Marine Corps Capt. Jacob Castillo fills his magazines before the next match, May 22, 2017, at the Australian Army Skills at Arms Meeting in Puckapunyal, Australia. This year’s AASAM competition brought together 20 teams from countries around the world for two weeks to compete, learn and build better alliances. The competition was broken into more than 60 individual matches consisting of rifle, pistol and machine guns. Castillo is the intelligence officer for 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment. The battalion is currently deployed to Australia in support of Marine Rotational Force Darwin. (
