An English suit of armour for a man-at-arms, circa 1650, made of original and reproduction pieces. A helmet with forged segmented skull, an attached brim with turned-under edge, richly provided with decorative rivets. Baluster shaped top spike, and a riveted plume socket on the back. A gorget that opens on a hinge. An original back plate. A more recent, ridged breastplate with turned-under and corded rims. One of the attached tassets (with simulated lames) is original.
