Glass frogs get their name because of their translucent bodies. In the picture you can clearly see the organs in the belly area. The green color of the skin and translucence helps camouflage them on the green leaves during the day time. They usually live high up on the tree canopy but come down only to mate. Amazing creatures!!! They kinda look like Kermit don't they?
