At both of these localities ideal weather conditions prevailed. If Pseudacris occurred in these areas it certainly would have been heard calling. The evening of May 16 was spent at Renfrew, which is within the range of the other Ontario chorus frog subspecies, the Western Chorus Frog, Pseudacris triseriata triserima.
