Callant Gary Hogg along with righthand man Grant Raeburn and lefthand man Jack Fraser, watched by Herald Brian Marshall (in hunting red) after the Callant has played a wreath at the war memorial. The Jethart Callant's Festival is held annually in the Scottish Border's town of Jedburgh to commemorate the historical skirmish between Scots and English armies, known as the Raid of Reidswire, in 1575. The 1575 encounter is often cited as the last battle between the two armies, and is immortalised in the poem by Sir Walter Scott 'The Raid Of The Reidswire'. (Photo: Rob Gray)
