Maerdy Mountain Road, Aberdare, Wales, UK. 18th March 2018. The 'mini beast from the East' has brought snow and high winds to Wales overnight and into today. A car is driven down the hairpins of the Maerdy Mountain Road into Aberdare. All the other mountain routes in South Wales south of the Brecon Beacons are conditions can only be described as a blizzard, temperature is minus 4 C and with windchill it feels like minus 20.
