Miletus was an ancient Greek city flourishing from the 8th century BC in the west of nowadays Turkey. The settlement was in former times at the coast but is now situated inland. From this port the sacred way leads as an impressive road out to a Stoa and bathing houses. Milet war eine Stadt im alten Griechenland, die ab dem 8. Jahrhundert vor Christus aufblühte. Damals lag der Ort an der Küste, heute finden sich seine Ruinen einige Kilometer landeinwärts. Vom Hafen führt die beeindruckende Heiligen Straße heraus, an deren Seite nicht nur eine Stoa, sondern auch Bäder standen.
