Worshippers place offerings on an altar at Membartsho, a sacred Buddhist site near Jakar, Bhutan, Asia

Membartsho (known as Burning Lake) is a sacred Buddhist site in the Tang Valley near Jakar. The lake is actually a wide spot in the Tang Chhu (river) and there is said to be a temple in its depths. Worshipers place small clay offerings (tsha-tsha) on an alter beneath an ancient carving of Tibetan Saint Pema Lingpa, Bhutan, Asia
