Abingdon, England - 12 July 2020; no people in view. My home town of Abingdon claims to be the oldest in England. One of its oldest and most beautiful buildings, the County Hall - now Abingdon Museum - was built between 1678 and 1682 by Christopher Kempster, a protg of Sir Christopher Wren. We see it here mid-left. It was built to house the Berkshire Assize Courts, which for 200 years bore witness to some of the county's most notorious and important cases. And on the right we see the crenellated tower of the medieval St Nicolas Church.
