Dauphin Map of the World

The so-called Dauphin map of the world was made by Pierre Desceliers in 1546, at the order of King Francis I of France for the Dauphin Henri II of France. It reflects the geographical knowledge in the first half of the sixteenth century. Note that all objects north of the Equinoctial are reversed.
