A ribbon bridge can typically be fully deployed in 10 minutes but a combination of 13 degree weather, 35 mph winds, and 8-inch thick ice flows slowed the process. This was the first step of a three-day long mission, executed in partnership with three other engineer units, as part of WAREX 86-14-02, an exercise that trains Army National Guard and Reserve forces from across the country.
