In 1790,according to the first federal census, he wasliving in Easton and had in his family twomales over sixteen, six sons under sixteen andfour females. He moved to \ ermont after1790 and lived at Marlbourough and New-fane. \ermont, where he died, October 5,1-836. He was a soldier from Easton in therevolution in Captain Abel Mitchells companyon the Lexington alarm and in Captain JohnPorters company (p. 214, History of Eas-ton). The Massachusetts RevolutionaryRolls (XII. p. 326) also show the Lexingtonalarm service and that during the summer of1775 he was in Captain John Porters com-pany, Colonel Paul Dudley Sargents
