Captive Tibetan Wolf Canis lupus chanco at The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling
This wolf is at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park in Darjeeling. The zoo is one of the most highly respected in India because of its work with rare and endangered wildlife. As well as playing host to the Tibetan Wolf it also houses Siberian tigers (the only ones in India), red pandas and Asian/Himalayan black bears. It also has a snow leopard breeding centre.
