Portrait of Alexander the Great. See description for more info.

Known as the "Schwarzenberg Alexander," this portrait is one of the best candidates for glimpsing the definitive portrait type of Alexander the Great created during his lifetime by his favorite sculptor Lysippos. This Roman work in marble probably copies a (lost) Greek original in bronze of ca. 330 BC. [Alteration to background only.]
