Campi Flegrei, Italy, satellite image. The city of Naples is at right centre. This coastal volcanic region consists of a caldera, which is mostly underwater in the Gulf of Pozzuoli at lower centre, and numerous associated volcanic craters, domes and cinder cones. Image obtained by the Advanced Land Imager (ALI) on the Earth Observing-1 (EO-1) satellite on 9th July 2012.
