Andrea Gastaldo, the foreign Policy Advisor to Army North, places the Rome-Arno campaign streamer on the unit’s colors Jan. 5 during the 75th Anniversary of Fifth Army inside the historic Quadrangle at Fort Sam Houston. Andrea is the daughter of Maj. Edward “Eddie” Gastaldo, an Italian-American who fought behind enemy lines as an intelligence officer for Fifth Army headquarters during the Italian Campaign in WWII.
