The exterior facade, with foutstories, is richly decorated and adorned with tasteful turrets and aiopen gallery at the top. The unattractive-looking pavilion on thright dates from the time of Gaston of Orleans, who began a completlreconstruction of the whole. Between these two sections rises thTour du Moulin, dating from the 13th cent., but outwardly comjpletely transformed under Francis I. The castle is entered froi^the Place du Chateau (PI.
